September 2018, 20 to 21
Carcassonne

The Summer University in Textual Data Analysis is defined as a place of communication, sharing of experiences and knowledge acquisition. Textual statistics is becoming more and more a must for all those who have textual corpus analyzes to perform.

Goal

Our summer seminar is centered around the Alceste methodology, developed by Max Reinert (CNRS); This method, like other works in this field (Ludovic Lebart, André Salem), is inspired by Jean-Paul Benzécri's research in Textual Data Analysis. The Alceste methodology aims to find a procedure for the analysis of discourse by the study of distributions.

The objective of these days is to offer each participant the opportunity to build a rich point of view on the state of the art in Textual Data Analysis, to develop his autonomy to process his own data and to Constitute a relevant methodology in line with its concerns.

The courses are spread over two days, the first day is intensive training in the Alceste methodology and the use of the basic and advanced functions of the Alceste software. As for the second day, the morning is devoted to conferences, and in the afternoon to the use and deepening of the personal data in the workshop, on this occasion the participants can bring their data sets and treat them at the same time Than those proposed by the trainers.

The lecturers are academics who practice the Analysis of Textual Data in various and varied fields.
